Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan non-liniear antara pembangunan keuangan dan produk domestik bruto (PDB) terhadap emisi CO2 serta mengevaluasi pengaruh interaksi antar variabel tersebut. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan menerapkan metode Regresi Data Panel Fixed Effect Model (FEM) dan data menggunakan dari 20 negara yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan (tinggi, menengah atas, menengah bawah dan rendah) selama periode 2013-2023. Model yang digunakan mencakup bentuk non-linier dengan memasukkan variabel kuadrat dan kubik dari pembangunan keuangan untuk menguji keberadaan pola kurva kuznet lingkungan dan kurva N. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan FD dan emisi CO2 bersifat non-linier ditemukan pada kelompok pendapatan tinggi yakni mengonfirmasi hipotesis kurva kuznet lingkungan bentuk N, kelompok pendapatan menengah atas berbentuk Kurva U normal, sementara negara berpendapatan rendah menunjukkan kurva N terbalik. Interaksi FD dan GDP terhadap emisi CO2 tidak signifikan di semua kelompok. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan regulasi lingkungan melalui penerapan prinsip ESG (environmental, social, governance) untuk sektor keuangan dan penerapan taksonomi keuangan berkelanjutan untuk mendorong investasi teknologi ramah lingkungan, khususnya di negara pendapatan tinggi dan menengah atas sebagai langkah menuju ekonomi rendah karbon.
