Abstract
Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana Riot Games memasukkan unsur budaya Filipina ke dalam karakter “Neon” pada game Valorant, yang dirilis pada tahun 2022, sebagai bagian dari strategi pemasaran global mereka. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana adaptasi budaya berfungsi sebagai alat periklanan untuk memperluas pasar Valorant di Asia Tenggara, khususnya Filipina. Dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dan teori pemasaran global, penelitian ini menganalisis 7P dari bauran pemasaran (product, price, promotion , Place , People, process, dan Physical Evidence). Data dikumpulkan melalui Riot Games dan sumber sekunder dari komunitas terkait dan studi terkait. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa bahasa, suara, referensi budaya, dan identitas visual Neon meningkatkan keterlibatan pemain dan komitmen komunitas. Strategi ini juga mencakup kolaborasi lokal, seperti festival eSports, kemitraan dengan artis dan influencer Filipina, dan pendirian kantor konten lokal. Upaya-upaya ini telah meningkatkan aktivitas pemain di wilayah tersebut, menunjukkan efektivitas adaptasi budaya dalam pemasaran global. Penelitian ini menyoroti semakin pentingnya konten budaya dalam memposisikan produk digital dalam pemasaran internasional.
