Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi probabilitas mahasiswa bekerja sebelum lulus (work before graduate — WBG) menggunakan data sekunder berukuran besar (n = 60.590). Variabel yang dianalisis meliputi umur, jenis kelamin, klasifikasi wilayah (urban/rural), tipe institusi, pengalaman kerja sebelumnya, partisipasi pelatihan, status keluarga, dan status migran. Estimasi menggunakan model probit dengan standard error robust; untuk interpretasi disajikan pula average marginal effects (dy/dx). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman kerja sebelumnya dan partisipasi pelatihan adalah pendorong paling kuat meningkatnya probabilitas WBG (masing-masing ≈ +6–7 poin persentase). Faktor negatif signifikan termasuk status migran dan beberapa kategori status keluarga. Model secara keseluruhan signifikan (Wald χ²), uji Hosmer–Lemeshow menunjukkan kecocokan yang memadai, tetapi kemampuan diskriminasi model moderat (AUC ≈ 0.63). Implikasi kebijakan diarahkan pada perluasan akses magang/pelatihan dan dukungan khusus bagi mahasiswa migran.
